Arm Candy

On this project - I was asked to
design a bracelet with
right angle weave. It was to introduce the
readers to the technique and my
orders were to write it so that
everybody - even a beginner would
bead it with ease

Classy Circles

I really enjoyed designing
this piece.
Clean lines appeal to me

Beaded Clutch Bag

I did the bead embroidery project for Threads&Crafts
because the WAU had a competition going and their
members wanted to learn more about the techniques.
I had help from Sherry Serafini. The WAU is a non
profitable organisation for women.

Gerberas

In this issue, the editor had a Gerbera theme
and I decided on a ring and bracelet combo.

Christmas Stars

My first attempt on Christmas Stars were very successful. The

Editor did not want traditional colors and I loved the purple and minty green crystals. Eventually, I also created a necklace using the stars. And earrings ..

Pearls

My first encounter with the BeadBook came when I
won a competition and
one of my prizes were a free two year
subscription of the magazine. The editor
Christa van Rooyen wanted me to do a
bracelet with pearls for them. Needless
to say, this had been one of my most

popular designs I ever did. When I design
and write a pattern, I try to write a
project that can be completed by all
skill levels.

FLASHBACK

I am sorting out my workspace and decided
to look back on my published work.
Every day for the next week you'll see
some of my work that I did for various
magazines. The arum lily necklace were the
first project I did for Threads&Crafts, a very long time ago . The stress nearly killed me, I was so nervous. Luckily, Annine van Rooyen, the editor, was a fantastic lady. She guided me through the process.
